Completed Mandatory CPDs

Signed Employment Letters (Salesman)

Trading/Business Name Certificate (Dealer operating under other names)

Step 1: Pay the Prescribed Licence Fee

The prescribed fee for a Salesman is $22,000.00 and Dealer is $44,000.00. Payments can be made using any of the three payment options, of which the preferred platform is the Client Portal.

Step 2: Submit documents

An employment letter from the Dealer is required for Salesman Licensing.

Dealers utilizing Trading Names are required to submit a valid Business or Trading Name Certificate if the one on file has expired.

All mandatory CPDs (after two years of registration) must be completed for licence issuance.

Step 3: Licence Issuance

The licence process is 3-5 business days, providing that all licence renewal requirements are met.

Corporate Area (Kingston and St. Andrew)

Licences (salesman or dealer) must be collected by the Dealer at the Main Office. If the Dealer is unable to collect the licences, a representative may collect it on their behalf. The representative must present a valid national ID and a letter of authorization for collection.

All other areas

By default, licences (salesman or dealer) are sent by registered mail to the Dealer’s listed address. If the Dealer would like to collect the licence in-person, written instructions should be submitted to info@reb.gov.jm, at the time of the submission of licence documents.

If a representative will collect the licence on behalf of the Dealer, the representative must present a valid national ID and a letter of authorization for collection.
