Payment Options:
Tuition fees may be paid in full or in three monthly installments between October 21, 2025, and February 28, 2026.
A one off administrative fee of $5,000 will be applied to installment payments. 

Description 

The Pre-Licensing Course for Dealers is designed for real estate individuals seeking to operate as a real estate dealer within Jamaica’s real estate industry. This offering course provides in-depth training in Sales, Leases, Rentals, Auctioneering, and Property Management, preparing participants to lead and manage complex real estate operations in the Jamaican real estate market. 

Course duration and content vary based on participants’ prior qualifications and chosen specialisation.

Areas of Study / Specialisation 

  • Sales, Leases, Rentals & Auctioneering
    Includes commercial real estate training and housing market analysis. 
  • Property Management
    Includes facilities management, land administration, and property asset management.

Course Objectives 

By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of real estate laws and dealer operations. 
  • Apply leadership, management, communication and  sustainability principles within real estate contexts. 
  • Evaluate market trends and property performance to make informed data driven decisions. 
  • Manage real estate portfolios effectively while ensuring regulatory compliance. 
Prerequisites

For the Sales, Leases, Rentals, and/or Auctioneering Specialisation: 

  • Licensed and practising real estate salesman in Jamaica for at least 18 months, or 
  • Licensed real estate broker practising in an overseas territory, or 
  • Holder of an undergraduate degree or diploma in real estate or a related field accredited by the University Council of Jamaica. 

For Property Management Specialisation:  

  • Licensed and practising real estate dealer in Jamaica, or 
  • Licensed property manager practising in an overseas territory, or 
  • Holder of an undergraduate degree or diploma in property management, real estate management, facilities management, accounting, building surveying, civil/structural engineering, construction management, or law. 

For Property Management Specialisation:

  • Licensed and practising real estate dealer in Jamaica, or
  • Licensed property manager practising in an overseas territory, or
  • Holder of an undergraduate degree or diploma in property management, real estate management, facilities management, accounting, building surveying, civil/structural engineering, construction management, or law.
Course Breakdown

All participants (except licensed real estate dealers in Jamaica) are required to complete mandatory modules along with specialisation modules.

Participants may be eligible for module exemptions based on their qualifications provided at the point of applying; however, exemptions do not reduce course fees or shorten course duration.

Award Type

candidates will be awarded a Real Estate Board Certificate in their area(s) of specialisation.
