  • How to Register for Self-Paced CPDs

Step 1: Register and Pay on the Client Portal

To register for a self-paced CPD, the practitioner is required to login to the Client Portal. The practitioner should then navigate to the desired CPD course, enter the required information and make the payment. Once payment has been received, an auto-generated email will be sent to the practitioner’s email address from the Client Portal, advising of the successful payment for the course. It takes approximately two (2) business days for the payment information on the Client Portal to be migrated to the MyRETIOnline LMS to complete your enrolment and provide access to the course.  Once the information has been uploaded in the online LMS, the practitioner will receive an email from the MyRETIOnline LMS platform advising them of their username and password (for first time users of the MyRETIOnline LMS). This email will provide the practitioner with access to your paid courses.

Timeline for Completion after Registration
It must be noted that online self-paced courses must be completed within 90 days of registration on the MyRETIOnline LMS.  If the practitioner fails to do so, their registration for the course will be cancelled.  If they are to again take the course, they will have to come into the office, pay for the course, after which we will re-enrol the practitioner in the specific CPD course.

Step 2: Enrol on the MyRETIOnline Platform

New Registrants for MyRETIOnline

Use the invitation link in the email you received from the MyRETIOnline LMS to update your student account on the LMS by entering the username provided as well as the password.  Be sure to follow the instructions and change your password to one that is only known to you.  Click on the My Courses tab and access the CPDs.

Existing Users of MyRETIOnline

Your enrolment for the course you paid for on the Client Portal will be completed within two (2) business days of your payment.  The MyRETIOnline Dashboard will reflect the courses available on the platform, but the My Courses tab will provide you with access to those that you have paid for.

Step 3: Using MyRETIOnline

After logging in to MyRETIOnline, navigate to the My Courses section of the dashboard to view available courses.  Follow the instructions, watch the videos, note the completion codes and complete the course.  You can utilize the link provided in the introductory email you received from the MyRETIOnline LMS, or access the LMS through the REB website, click on the Education tab, select Continuing Professional Development Courses and then access the LMS by selecting the MyRETIOnline tab.

Step 4: Quiz – Participation Codes

Once you have completed watching the videos, you will be directed to an online quiz in which you will be asked to identify the participation codes.  These codes were interspersed throughout the videos.  You are required to know all the codes but the quiz will randomly ask for three (3) of a possible five codes.  You have three (3) opportunities to complete the quiz.  If unsuccessful after three attempts, you will be required to pay an additional access fee for the re-sit.  Once you have successfully completed the quiz (100%) you will be sent an auto-generated completion certificate for your records.

We will ensure that your completion records are uploaded to the registry.
